Pillsbury™ Ready to Bake!™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough (12 Count): You’ll need two packs of the 12-count dough, which is the perfect size for this recipe. Since Shape™ cookies come 20 to a pack, you’ll have 4 extra chocolate chip cookie bases left over. Bake them with the other cookies, or eat them straight from the fridge since our cookie dough is safe to eat raw. Want to switch it up? Any of our other 12-count Ready to Bake!™ flavors work perfectly. If you are willing to put in a little more effort, you can cut 1/2-inch slices of your favorite Pillsbury Cookie Dough roll or press 2 cookie dough rounds together from a 24-count of Ready to Bake!™ to make the perfect size base.
Pillsbury™ Shape™ Snowman Sugar Cookie Dough (20 Count): We chose the Snowman for instant winter vibes, but your favorite holiday Pillsbury™ Shape™ Cookie Dough works! You can easily customize these cookies for any season or event using other fun shapes like Pumpkin, Hearts, Bunny, or Football.
Here’s how to make these Snowman Double Stack Cookies. Follow the recipe for more details.
Position 2 shelves near the center of the oven, leaving enough space between them for air to circulate evenly. Since you will be baking both pans at the same time, this will ensure they bake as evenly as possible. Heat the oven to 350°F.
Place the cookie bases on parchment-lined baking sheets. Then, partially bake the cookies for 9 minutes.
Top each cookie base with your favorite Shape™ cookie.
Return to the oven and bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until cookie bases are lightly browned on the edges. Cool on the pan for 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely, or let them finish cooling on the pan for a crispier cookie.
Double Stack Cookies are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, but if you find yourself with leftovers, here’s how to store them.
Store Snowman Double Stack Cookies in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days at room temperature.
To reheat, pop them in the microwave for a few seconds to get that fresh-from-the-oven warmth back, or enjoy them at room temperature. Just be careful not to overheat, as the cookie dough on top might melt and become a gooey mess.
Customize Double Stack Cookies for any occasion! To move beyond chocolate chip, try classic flavors like sugar or peanut butter as well as limited edition flavors that pair perfectly with seasonal shape cookies. You could pair Pumpkin Cookie Dough with Pumpkin Shape™ Cookies for Summerween or Halloween, or match a holiday shape like Santa with slices of Gingerbread Cookie Dough for Christmas. Cheer on your favorite college, pro, or youth teams by pairing Football, Basketball, or Soccer shapes with your choice of cookie dough for Game Day.
For extra festive flair, roll your cookie dough rounds in colorful sprinkles, sanding sugars, or nonpareils before baking. You can even make double-stack ice cream sandwiches by sandwiching ice cream between two cooled cookies!

Adjust oven racks so two shelves are positioned near the center of the oven, leaving enough space between them for air to circulate evenly around both baking sheets. Heat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Place 12 cookie dough rounds about 2 inches apart on the first baking sheet. On the second baking sheet, place either 8 dough rounds (to match the 20-pack of Shape™ cookies) or all 12 dough rounds (if you want 4 plain chocolate chip cookies). Prebake the cookie bases for 9 minutes.

Remove the baking sheets from the oven. Top each partially baked cookie with one Snowman Sugar Cookie Dough piece—or your favorite Pillsbury™ Shape™ Cookie Dough. (If you prebaked all 24 cookie bases, 4 will remain plain.)

Return the baking sheets to the oven and bake for an additional 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges of the chocolate chip cookies are lightly browned. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 3 minutes. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

If you can’t find Snowmen Sugar Cookie Dough, feel free to swap in your favorite holiday Shape™ cookie.
For a sugar cookie base, simply cut 1/2-inch slices from a sugar cookie dough roll, or press together 2 Ready to Bake!™ Sugar cookies from a 24-count pack to get the perfect size base.
Roll your cookie dough bases in colorful sprinkles, sanding sugars, or nonpareils before baking for a festive touch.
