Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (at least 80% lean)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 oz)
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 cans (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
  • 16 dill pickle slices (chips), if desired
  • 4 slices American cheese, each cut in half to make 2 triangles
  • Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, dill pickle slices, ketchup and yellow mustard, as desired

Steps

  • 1
Heat oven to 375°F. Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper.
  • 2
In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in shredded cheese and ketchup. Set aside.
  • 3
Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 16 triangles. On cookie sheet, arrange triangles in ring so short sides of triangles form a 5-inch circle in center. Dough will overlap. Dough ring should look like the sun.
  • 4
Spoon beef mixture on half of each triangle closest to center of ring. Top with pickle slices. Top with American cheese slices.
  • 5
Bring each dough triangle up over filling, tucking dough under bottom layer of dough to secure it. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed (some filling might show a little).
  • 6
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked. Cool 10 minutes. To serve, carefully place ring onto serving plate. Serve with toppings placed in center of ring or on the side, as desired.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Serve this Cheeseburger Crescent Ring with a simple homemade burger sauce for dipping. To make, stir together 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup ketchup and 1 to 2 tablespoons yellow mustard in a small bowl.
  • tip 2
Want to give your crescent roll cheeseburger ring a “burger” look? Lightly brush dough with water, and top evenly with 2 teaspoons sesame seed before baking.
  • tip 3
Placing a glass or metal bowl that is 5 inches in diameter on the cookie sheet will help guide you as you create the ring of dough.
