Needed some breadsticks to go with spaghetti but didn't want to go out in cold weather, but I had two tubes of crescent rolls. I figured there would be some kind of way to convert them to the breadsticks we needed and I found this recipe. I thought they turned out really good and so did my family. I think they could have even more flavor if other spices were added to the butter mixture.

I followed the directions exactly, and they were pretty... meh.

My family enjoyed these. They were easy to make, but to save steps you could easily substitute the crescents with the breadsticks. This would mean simply spreading the butter portion of the recipe on the breadsticks before twisting them. No dividing and cutting of the dough. I was looking for a way to flavor up my crescents to go with tonights' spaghetti, and these fit the bill wonderfully! No disappointments.

I made these tonight and they were sooo easy. I used half the garlic powder and used a steakhouse seasoned salt for the remainder. I cut the salt and pepper out. 37 years later and its still all good.

These quick garlic sticks really help jazz up a meal of left over pasta.
