I think my favorite part of football season is trying out all sorts of fun new finger foods. I love inviting friends and family over to watch the big game and dig in to all kinds of appetizers, treats, drinks and oh … yeah, watch the football game.
You need appetizers that are fast and delicious, because when an interception happens with just 2 minutes left on the clock nothing will bring back those smiles like a hot tray of these Chicken-Bacon-Ranch Pizza Sticks. These tasty, dip-able pizza sticks not only go great with a side of ranch, but also have ranch dressing tucked inside layers of ooey-gooey cheese, shredded chicken and crispy bacon. Plus, they couldn’t be easier to make.
Start by spreading out your Pillsbury Classic Pizza Crust on a lightly greased cookie sheet or baking sheet. Spread on some ranch dressing, then evenly coat with cooked shredded chicken breast, crispy cooked and crumbled bacon (use the packaged real bacon crumbles for a quick substitution) and some freshly diced green onions.
My favorite way to get some flavorful shredded chicken is to buy a fully cooked rotisserie chicken from the deli and then pull all the chicken off the bones. I’ll do this once a week and have shredded chicken ready to use for sandwiches, wraps and toppings for my pizza!
Throw on a little shredded, marbled cheddar cheese. Ok, a lot of cheese … let’s not be stingy here.
Once the crust has lightly browned and the cheese is nice and bubbly it’s ready to slice into cute little pizza sticks, which happen to be perfect for dipping.
