Sliced Mushrooms provide a simple addition to skillet prepared goulash made with macaroni and cheese - dinner ready in 20 minutes.

Macaroni and Cheese Goulash

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (14-oz.) jar tomato pasta sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (7.25-oz.) pkg. macaroni and cheese dinner
  • 1 (4.5-oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 oz. (1/2 cup) finely shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Step

    In large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.

    Add pasta sauce and water; mix well. Bring to a boil. Stir in macaroni from dinner. Return to a boil. Cover; cook over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes or until macaroni is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.

    Stir in cheese powder from dinner; mix well. Stir in mushrooms. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese; cover and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
