Ingredients

  • 4 medium bananas, unpeeled
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts

Steps

  • 1
With sharp knife, make deep cut along inside curve of each banana. Press ends of peel to open.
  • 2
Fill each banana evenly with chocolate and peanut butter chips.
  • 3
Wrap each banana in heavy-duty foil. Place in campfire coals. Heat about 5 minutes or until bananas are tender and chips are melted. Sprinkle with peanuts.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Bananas are loaded with potassium, an important mineral that, along with sodium, helps control the water balance in the body.
  • tip 2
These banana treats can also be made at home or in the RV, wherever there’s a microwave. Fill the bananas but do not wrap them in foil. Place one banana in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave it on HIGH for 45 seconds.
