Pillsbury® Grands!® mini frozen buttermilk biscuits (from 25.1 oz bag)
1/4
cup sugar

tablespoons cocoa

tablespoon flour

cup milk

teaspoons butter
1/2
teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Bake biscuits as directed on bag.
  • 2 In medium saucepan, stir together sugar, cocoa and flour. With wire whisk, stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
  • 3 Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla until melted and smooth.
  • 4 Split warm biscuits; place on serving plates. Spoon gravy over warm split biscuits.

My mom would make this for me as a kid i love it, my husband never hurd of choclate gravy i made it for him he dosnt like it. im from oklahoma and hes from oklahoma and missouri.

Growing up in central Missouri this was a favorite for all of us grandkids (and still is). Of course, when we were young we called it 'eat cocoa.'

So glad to see this recipe............my aunt in california made this for us as kids for breakfast and we loved it.........here in Missouri people think I'm making it up........thanks for the memories.

My sisters and I also grew up eating chocolate gravy and homemade drop biscuits! Thank you for posting the recipe, a bit different but the same as my mothers.

This was a fun little dessert I made on a whim. It made a lot of gravy for the 4 mini biscuits, but it was good.
