lb beef top round steak (1/2 inch thick), trimmed of fat, cut into serving-sized pieces

  • 1 In Dutch oven or 12-inch skillet, combine all ingredients except beef; mix well. Place beef over tomato mixture. Bring to a boil.
  • 2 Stir gently. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until beef is tender.
