Ingredients

Steps

  • 1
Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is no longer pink; drain. Return beef mixture to skillet.
  • 2
Reduce heat to medium, sprinkle flour over beef mixture; cook and stir constantly for 1 minute. Gradually stir in soup, frozen vegetables, salt and pepper. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Spoon into baking dish.
  • 3
Unroll crescent dough; separate into triangles. Gently stretch each triangle, and place on top of hot beef mixture.
  • 4
Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until deep golden brown and crescent is baked through. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
It’s good to eat your veggies! Use your favorite combination of frozen mixed vegetables to customize your Crescent-Topped Beef Pot Pie for Two.
  • tip 2
This “right-size” recipe will likely leave you with a half pound of ground beef to whip up another hearty hit. To keep your ground beef fresh, tightly wrap it in plastic wrap, then refrigerate and use it within 2 days. Or, label and date the wrapped ground beef and freeze for up to 4 months.
  • tip 3
Looking for an extra kick of flavor in your Crescent-Topped Beef Pot Pie for Two? Try using 1 teaspoon of garlic salt as a savory substitute for plain salt.
  • tip 4
It’s not a pot pie without that rich, velvety sauce. Make sure to get the correct consistency every time by sprinkling flour over the beef mixture. This will help thicken the pot pie filling before baking.
