Ingredients

  • 1 (1-lb.) loaf ciabatta bread
  • 3 tablespoons honey-raspberry Dijon mustard
  • 3/4 lb. sliced cooked Virginia ham (from deli)
  • 8 leaves Bibb or Boston lettuce
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion

Steps

  • 1
Cut bread in half lengthwise. Spread cut side of each half with mustard.
  • 2
On bottom half of bread, layer ham, lettuce and onion. Cover with top half of bread. Cut filled loaf into 4 sandwiches.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Ciabatta means "slipper bread" in Italian. It is a crusty loaf with a very coarse-texture and is named for its flat, flour-dusted slipper-like shape.
  • tip 2
Honey-mustard can be substituted for the honey-raspberry mustard. Or, make your own flavored mustard by adding 1 tablespoon seedless raspberry jam to 2 tablespoons honey-mustard.
