Check out this flavorful wild rice and pork sausage dish that can either be used as a turkey stuffing or a tasty side dish.

Ingredients

carton (32 oz) Progresso™ chicken broth
1/2
cup uncooked wild rice, rinsed
1 1/2
cups uncooked regular long-grain white rice
1/2
lb bulk pork sausage
3/4
cup chopped celery
1/2
cup chopped onion

Steps

  • 1 In large saucepan, bring chicken broth to boiling. Add wild rice; cover and simmer 40 minutes. Add white rice; cover and simmer an additional 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Drain off any remaining liquid.
  • 2 Meanwhile, in large skillet, cook sausage, celery and onion until sausage is no longer pink, stirring frequently. Drain. Combine sausage mixture and rice mixture.
  • 3 Use to stuff turkey, or place in greased 2-quart casserole or glass baking dish and cover with foil; bake at 350°F. for 25 to 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
