Ingredients

  • 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon almond-flavored liqueur
  • 1 pint (2 cups) Haagen-Dazs® Chocolate Sorbet
  • 1 pint (2 cups) vanilla sorbet
  • 1 cup crushed amaretti cookies

Steps

  • 1
In small saucepan, combine brown sugar, water and liqueur. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar melts and mixture thickens slightly. Cool 15 minutes.
  • 2
Scoop about 1/4 cup of each sorbet into each dessert dish. Top with sauce and crushed cookies.

Tips from the Pillsbury Kitchens

  • tip 1
Amaretti are very crisp macaroon-type cookies. They typically come in a box and are wrapped in pairs. If amaretti are not available, biscotti can be substituted.
  • tip 2
Let guests have fun building their own sundaes. Arrange small bowls of sauce, crushed amaretti and chopped or shaved dark chocolate on a decorative tray.
  • tip 3
Scoop the sorbets into dessert dishes ahead of time and freeze them until serving time.
