To make sure edges seal, I put a bit of water around edges before sealing.

Made this for dinner for the family and they were awesome. Only issue I had was that I couldn't get them to seal properly so I lost a little filling. Any suggestions on closing properly???

Yesterday was date night, and I'm a novice cook but I didn't want my date to know that! This recipe looked simple enough, so I whipped it up. He loved them and so did I. The recipe was simple and easy to follow. That's coming from a person who has trouble making mac n cheese. I changed the ingredients a little though. I used sloppy joe sauce with bbq in it. I added oregano and Italian seasoning to the meat, and I used a Mexican blend of cheese. I also sprinkled a little cheese on top of the bread for a slight cheesy crust. All in all, I loved this recipe so much. I made these again for lunch t

I've made these several times & love them. I'm not even a fan of sloppy joes either. The trick is roll the biscuits oit on a floured surface with a pastry roller and ruler & measure the COOLED filling exactly with a 1/3 measuring cup. Then seal with a pastry sealer or fork. I've never had any issues with sogginess or coming open. I also top with a sprinkle of cheese & broil for last min.I omit the chili powder due to kids but Hubby and I top them with Franks hot sauce. You can also sneak in pureed veggies into the sauce!
