slices (3/4 oz each) American cheese, each cut into 6 strips

can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Slit hot dogs to within 1/2 inch of ends; insert 3 strips of cheese into each slit.
  • 2 Separate dough into triangles. Wrap dough triangle around each hot dog. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up.
  • 3 Bake at 375°F. for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Substitution: If using Pillsbury® Big & Flaky large refrigerated crescent dinner rolls, use large hot dogs and bake at 350°F. for 16 to 20 minutes.

Love love love the crescent dogs my mom used to make them for my sister and I when we were kids. I made them for my kids and hubby when they still lived at home now I make them for my hubby and I he just loves them!! Quick easy and good!!

My family loves these BUT I roll the crescent roll out (to make it larger) then place the weiner in it and roll it up. I press ALL edges so the cheese will stay in it :) It's a little more work but well worth it!!

I have a quick question. Would you have to cook them in a different way if someone doesn't want cheese?

and for breakfast try the breakfast sausages with Pilsbury crescent rolls or the biscuits too, these are great and come with cheese and with jalapenos...and we make these ahead of time for my family for our vacations... so great as a snack too any time of day really, love them with the hotdogs too...
