This slow cooked dip made using bacon and cheese is a great fall appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 package (8 oz) fat-free cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 4 oz Gruyère cheese, shredded (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup canola mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 2 medium green onions, chopped (2 tablespoons)
  • 4 slices center-cut bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
  • Fresh vegetables, if desired

    Heat 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender.

    Spray 2 1/2-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, stir together onion, cream cheese, Gruyère cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and pepper.

    Cover; cook on Low heat setting 1 hour 30 minutes, stirring after 45 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle dip with green onions and bacon. Serve warm with vegetables.
