LOCATION

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef, onion, garlic and bell pepper over medium-high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and brown sugar.
  • 2 Separate dough into 8 biscuits; place each biscuit in ungreased regular-size muffin cups (2 3/4x1 1/4 inches). Firmly press dough in bottom and up side of each cup, forming 1/4-inch rim. If desired, brush tops and sides of biscuits with an egg wash before baking. To make the egg wash, beat 1 egg yolk and 1/4 teaspoon water until well blended.
  • 3 Spoon about 1/3 cup beef mixture into dough-lined cups. Sprinkle each biscuit with 1 tablespoon shredded cheese.
  • 4 Bake 17 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and cheese is melted.

I fixed the Sloppy Joe Biscuit Cups per directions leaving out the peppers. They were good but the biscuit dough was too thick. They freeze well so when I want one I reheat it in the microwave for a delicious lunch. Made them again today with the honey butter flavor. I divided each biscuit in half. I increased the amount of hamburger and ingredients, changed the baking time to 14 minutes, and made 16 perfect sloppy joe's!!! Am taking them to a party this evening. Thank you for the recipe...

These were great and are a favorite with the family now. Great for a potluck too with the easy portions.

My son was in his 30's, working construction, and had a 6 mo. job in my town! YAY! I made "these" often for him in various ways - he has never grown up to onions, so they were out - sometimes bbqsauce. Freeze well, and packed in a lunchb frozen, he'd place on the engine (in foil) 30 mins before break & eat em hot! I used hb, leftover chicken, steak - whatever...always good. And I want the Corn Bisquits back too!
