cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
48
fully cooked small smoked sausage links
Ketchup, if desired
Prepared horseradish, if desired
Yellow mustard, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F.
  • 2 Separate dough into 16 triangles. Cut each triangle into thirds lengthwise. Place sausage on shortest side of each triangle. Roll up, starting at shortest side of triangle and rolling to opposite point. On ungreased cookie sheet, place rolls point side down.
  • 3 Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ketchup, horseradish and mustard.

This is a simple, easy and versatile appetizer. I also use a cream cheese/jalapeno salsa mixture as a filling too.

Depending on the sausages you use, you can make British style sausage rolls very quickly and easily. Our family love them and we have them every year especially at Christmas.

I'm sort of middle-of-the-road on this one. My family didn't care for the dipping sauce and all in all, I think it was more effort than it was worth.
