Made these Oatmeal Carmelitas today and this is a keeper for sure. Of course I had to cut and sneak a bar after 1 hour cooling but before I put them in the fridge to set for an hour or two as per the directions. We love things with nuts and oats in them and this was no exception. Thank you for another great recipe! I may experiment in the near future to replace the choc. chips with some type of apple concoction - who knows, I might come up with another keeper!

Lost this recipe but found it online :). Is a favorite!!!! Don't hesitate to take this anywhere. Kids, including husbands, will eat them till they're gone. EASY to make.

I HAVE MADE THIS RECIPE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. IT IS ALWAYS THE HIT OF THE OCCASION. I FIND CUTTING THEM IN SMALLER SECTIONS WORKS WELL BECAUSE THEY ARE RICH. ALSO WARM FOR 10 SECONDS IN MICROWAVE AND SERVE WITH FRENCH VANILLA ICE CREAM.

These are fast becoming our family's favorite. My husband loves coconut and the rest of the family does not so when I add the nuts and chocolate I add some coconut to one end so he can have his with coconut. My grandson said awesomee

I used to make these only at Christmas time. One day had a light bulb moment that I could make them any time! Always delicious. I've also use chocolate sauce with mini m and m's.

Excellent bars, made them for a dinner party and for my coworkes, everyone loved them. My daughter requested a batch for her sorority sisters. Very easy to make.

These are excellent. I made them without nuts and actually had someone ask if there were cashews in the cookie. I thought they are easy to make and I will make these again

Best cookies ever! They always please any crowd. A bit more time consuming to make than a regular cookie (and take a little longer in the oven than the instructions), but are TOTALLY worth it! Delicious!!

I started making the carmelitas years ago, when the recipe called for melting carmels in a double boiler. They always turn out perfectly and are the most delicious bars I've ever made. I always get compliments whenever I serve them.
