Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. In ungreased 8-inch round pan, place 1/4 cup butter; heat in oven 3 to 4 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup until well blended. Sprinkle with pecans.
  • 2 In small bowl, place 3 tablespoons melted butter. In another small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  • 3 Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Dip biscuits into melted butter to coat all sides; dip into sugar mixture, coating well. Arrange biscuits, sides touching, over topping in pan.
  • 4 Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; turn upside down onto heatproof serving plate. Let pan remain 1 minute so caramel can drizzle over rolls. Serve warm.

While tasty and easy to make, the flavor lacked a little and seemed so heavy...I did substitute lighter options of the items suggested for the recipe such as maple syrup versus cornstarch, or a tad less butter than suggested. It's tasty, but could be simplified.

A Keeper! hummmm...smells wonderful while baking! and Yummy to the tummy! I used corn syrup and added a few dolips of mapleine flavoring, I also used Phillsbury Frozen Buttermilk biscuits! Next time I think Ill mix all dry Ing. together, pull my biscuits apart, roll the pieces in butter then the dry Ing. put in bundt pan, pour butter over top...and Bake! And call it a crmel Monkey Bun! sounds fun!

Delicious! The only thing I changed was to use maple syrup instead of corn syrup and walnuts instead of pecans because that's what I had on hand. I think using maple syrup keeps the caramel from getting too hard (which is a common problem I have with sticky buns). Great leftover the next day also.
