Directions

  • 1 Bake cinnamon rolls as directed on package.
  • 2 To caramelize pecans, melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat; add pecans. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until butter just starts to brown. Pecans can burn easily, so don't walk away from the stove. Add brown sugar and water. Cook, stirring constantly, until the brown sugar melts and bubbles, about 2 minutes. Spoon over buns while they are hot out of the oven.
  • 3 Remove cover from icing; microwave on Medium (50%) 5 to 10 seconds or until thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over warm buns. Serve warm.

You can also do this like an upside down cake. Melt the butter and brown sugar in a oven proof skillet - sprinkle the pecans on top - arrange the rolls on top and back until golden brown - delish

These look absolutely delicious.....but 630 calories each? WOW! Definitely not something on the healthy side. Still looks yummy though.

This is the way I make them. Topping: 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 2 TBS unsalted butter 2 TBS honey 1 TBS water 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans In a small saucepan, heat brown sugar, butter, honey and 1 TBS water over medium heat until mixture is smooth. Pour into a 9-inch round cake pan. Sprinkle pecans over mixture, then place biscuits on top of pecans in pan. Remove from oven and IMMEDIATELY invert onto wire rack (with foil underneath to catch drips); let cool slightly. Follow instructions for icing.

Absolutely the best!... Plain cinnamon rolls will never compare to this. They were extremely easy to make. You take a product that's already very good and make it better.
