1/4
cup real maple or maple-flavored syrup

teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pecan halves or additional ground cinnamon, if desired

Directions

  • 1 In large bowl, beat whipping cream with electric mixer on medium speed about 1 minute or until cream begins to thicken, then on high speed until soft peaks form.
  • 2 Gradually beat in syrup and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, scraping bowl once, until blended and stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with pecans.

It's a good idea to chill the bowl and beaters in the fridge first.

When whipping cream, stiff peaks are formed when the beaters are lifted from the cream and the peaks stand straight up.
