I used dill pickle relish instead of chopped, pickles. It was really good. Could have used more bacon. I used 1 roll of Pillsbury crescents and 1 roll of Kroger brand crescents. The store brand ones were smaller and really hard to work with. Harder to seal and tore easily. Stick with Pillsbury.

Why is it that even when I use the crescent rolls as crescent rolls that mine aren't light or flaky or anything? Your pix on your recipes are always beautiful and you can see the layers of the dough with a crispy outer layer. I know croissants and the pain they are to make, but seriously your product acts like a thin pizza/biscuit hybrid that doesn't really deserve the time you use making new recipes forit.

This was a huge hit with both hubby & teenage son! I didn't make separate calzones, but used 11x7 baking dish...one crescent roll on bottom, topped with meat mix and then 2nd crescent roll, etc. Sealed edges well and had no problem with anything leaking out. Yummy!

This is very good. Only I don't like the Crescent roll dough, I will use biscuits or pizza dough next.

this recipe was very good it tasted a lot like cheeseburgers i used ground turkey, turkey bacon, and reduced fat crescents. you can't tell the difference on the reduced fat crescents but i would suggest you use the recipe creations sheet instead of regular crescents because the pre-cut perforations are hard to seal back up especially if you fill them with ingredients. also the american cheese sticks to the roof of your mouth when hot so next time i'll use shredded cheddar or something
