With 15 years of professional experience in the food world, Clare’s mission is to inspire people to cook more confidently at home. She trained at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and began her career in the Test Kitchen at Every Day with Rachael Ray before working as a celebrity private chef and food stylist.

As a culinary producer at See Food Media, Clare helped pioneer early “hands and pans” food videos. She later became the Resident Chef for Sur La Table’s flagship cooking class program, sharing her expertise with home cooks nationwide.

Her passion for digital media led to a role as Culinary Producer for A&E’s award-winning food waste series Scraps, where she traveled the country filming on location and collaborating with chefs and food leaders—including Jacques Pépin.

Clare’s unique experience at the intersection of retail and storytelling brought her to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she served as Culinary Trend Director at World Market, curating products and content. She went on to become Editorial Director at the Feedfeed, a food and drink discovery platform, before taking on the role of Content Director at Williams Sonoma. There, she led brand storytelling across channels, overseeing product launches and campaigns featuring culinary icons like Ina Garten, Deb Perelman of Smitten Kitchen, and Stanley Tucci.

Today, Clare works as a chef, culinary educator, and content strategist, creating original, social-media-optimized recipes for brands. You can find her on Instagram @clarelangan, TikTok @clareinthekitchen, and Substack where she writes the food and recipe newsletter On Cooking.

"Knife skills are life skills. Want to get dinner on the table faster, eat more vegetables, and make your food look photo-ready? It all comes down to your knife skills."
