Expert Tips

Unbreaded chicken breast tenders can be used instead of the cut-up chicken thighs.

If you like garlic, try using garlic-flavored Alfredo pasta sauce.

This was a total miss in my family's opinion. The potatoes were simply mush and the veggoies lost their snap. I used garlic Alfredo sauce and the spices called for, but everyone, including my husband who isn't a big spice user, found it completely bland. It was terrible enough that I will be deleting it from my recipe box and not even trying to make alterations to improve it.

I love recipes that are simple and delicious. This one really fills the bill. I served it tonight with a side of cranberry sauce and homemade cornbread. Perfect comfort food on a cold winter night.

It's 110 degrees here, so I pressed my crockpot into service and made this recipe, with a few substitutions, and it was great! I didn't have any froen potatoes and onions, so I used fresh and partially precooked potatoes in the microwave. I only had one regular and one sweet potato, and the sweet potato was great in this! I also added fresh mushrooms, because I had them, and some white pepper. This is a keeper! I'll be making this again!
