Pesto Pasta Pronto

Ingredients

  • 8 oz uncooked fettuccine
  • 1 container (7 oz) basil pesto
  • 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (1 1/2 oz)

    Cook fettuccine to desired doneness as directed on package; drain.
  • 2
    In large bowl, gently toss hot cooked fettuccine and pesto sauce. Place on serving platter; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  • Pesto is made from olive oil, fresh basil, garlic, Parmesan cheese and pine nuts. Look for commercial brands of pesto in the Italian section of the supermarket or next to the refrigerated pastas and fresh pasta sauces.
  • For a heartier dish, top the pasta with sliced, grilled chicken breasts.
