Ingredients

cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2
cup butter
1/8
teaspoon salt

(14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1/4
cup dark rum
2
teaspoons vanilla

Directions

  1. 1 In medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, salt and condensed milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.
  2. 2 Stir in rum and vanilla. Reheat sauce before serving. Store in refrigerator.
