tablespoons all purpose or unbleached flour

tablespoon beef-flavor instant bouillon

tablespoons steak sauce

cups milk

  • 1 In large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently.
  • 2 Stir in flour, bouillon and steak sauce. Gradually stir in milk. Cook and stir 4 to 6 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring frequently. If desired, serve over mashed potatoes or cooked rice.

I used this recipe in my rendition of "poor man's stew." I didn't have my cream of mushroom soup!

VERY GOOD AND EASY TO PREPARE. EXTREME ECONOMICAL. WOULD ALSO BE GOOD SERVED OVER RICE.

My family really like this recipe. I served it over Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits and it was like a breakfast biscuit and gravy. I thought it was easy to prepare too.
