can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled (1/2 cup)

eggs, scrambled
1/2
cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)

egg, beaten, if desired

tablespoon cracked black pepper, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Unroll dough on work surface; separate into triangles.
  • 2 Top each triangle with bacon, scrambled egg and cheese. Roll up loosely as directed on can. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; curve into crescent shape. Brush with beaten egg; sprinkle with pepper.
  • 3 Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

To make scrambled eggs in microwave: Beat eggs well in medium microwavable bowl. Microwave uncovered on High 1 1/2 minutes. Stir cooked outer edges to center. Microwave 1 to 2 minutes longer or until eggs are almost set but still moist.

For my daughter'S birthday slumber party last year [2012] I made the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Brunch Ring which I thought was fairly easy to make-gave it a 5 star rating. It was such a huge hit that her friends requested it again for this year's birthday party. I'd seen this recipe and thought it might be easier doing individual ones versus the ring. However, I had more problems keeping it all together so the prep time took longer with these than the ring had. The girls still enjoyed eating them but in trying to keep it quick and simple I will stick with the brunch ring.

Pull up side corners and wrap around to the top. Push down to make them stick. Continue rolling then place on your baking pan. Easier said than done but it worked for me. Will definitely make again! 5*****!

I love ANYTHING with bacon, egg & cheese and crescents are ALWAYS good so I really loved this recipe. I used turkey bacon and it still turned out great. My tip for keeping it together (it worked): flatten each triangle with your fingers then pull off to unstick it from your working surface. Position triangle in front of you with point up and sprinkle cheese on entire triangle area. Tear bacon in half (I'm to lazy to crumble, haha!) and place both pieces of bacon on bottom (wide end) of triangle. Spoon eggs on top of bacon and roll as if you're rolling a burrito. DT....I have froze scambled eggs in wraps before and they turned out very good...I am going to try these this weekend and freeze them for a fast breakfast....

I agree with Suzzle - would love a variation to be able to put these in the freezer then grab and go out the door. Any suggestions on how to accomplish that? I haven't ever tried to freeze eggs before.
