Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whipped cream cheese (from 8-oz. tub)
  • 2 tablespoons original ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 2 tablespoons Progresso™ Italian Style Bread Crumbs
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns, split
  • 4 large spinach leaves

Steps

  • 1
GRILL DIRECTIONS: Heat grill. In small bowl, combine cream cheese and salad dressing mix; mix well.
  • 2
In medium bowl, combine ground turkey, 1/2 cup of the cream cheese mixture and bread crumbs; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 patties, 1/2 inch thick.
  • 3
When ready to grill, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 10 to 12 minutes or until patties are no longer pink in center, turning once.
  • 4
Meanwhile, place buns, cut side down, on grill. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until buns are lightly toasted.
  • 5
To serve, spread cut side of buns with remaining cream cheese mixture. Place 1 spinach leaf and patty in each bun.

  • To broil patties, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once. Place buns, cut side up, on broiler pan; broil 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Whipped cream cheese is regular cream cheese that has been mixed until it’s soft, smooth and light. Unlike regular cream cheese, which is stiff, whipped cream cheese is easy to spread and to mix into recipes.
  • Ground beef or pork can be used in place of the ground turkey in these burgers.
  • To make a quick dip for chips and veggies, stir the remaining salad dressing mix into 1 cup of sour cream.
