Tuna Pita Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 oz.) tuna in water, drained, flaked
  • 1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrot
  • 3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
  • 3 whole wheat or white pita breads (6 inch)
  • Leaf lettuce, if desired

    In small bowl, combine tuna, pineapple, carrot and mayonnaise; mix well.
  • 2
    Cut pita breads in half crosswise; open each half to form pocket. Place lettuce and 1/4 cup tuna mixture in each pocket.

  • Mix up the tuna mixture, then cover and store in the refrigerator for quick sandwiches anytime!
