Spiced Cranberry-Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apple cider
  • 3 cups cranberry-apple drink
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 inch)
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 large unpeeled orange, sliced
  • 1 unpeeled lemon, sliced

    In 4-quart Dutch oven, heat all ingredients just to boiling over medium-high heat. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 10 minutes.

    Into heatproof bowl, strain cider through fine-mesh strainer; discard spices and citrus slices. Ladle cider into mugs; serve warm.

  • Garnish each mug with an orange slice for a festive presentation.
