Saturday Night Steak with Grilled Mushrooms

tablespoons soy sauce

large garlic cloves, minced

(6 to 8-oz.) beef T-bone steaks (3/4 inch thick)

oz. fresh mushrooms (shiitake, portobello, crimini or button mushrooms)

    GRILL DIRECTIONS: In small bowl, combine soy sauce and garlic; mix well. Brush half of soy sauce mixture over both sides of steaks. Let stand at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes to marinate.

    Meanwhile, heat grill. Thread mushrooms onto two 8-inch metal skewers. Brush mushrooms with some of remaining soy sauce mixture.

    When ready to grill, place steaks on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until of desired doneness, turning once. During last 5 to 8 minutes of cooking time, place mushrooms on grill. Cook, turning once and brushing frequently with soy sauce mixture. Serve steaks with mushrooms.
