These quick and hearty chicken and dumplings come together in 20 minutes thanks to a homemade make-ahead meal starter.

Ingredients

bag Chicken-Veggie Freezer Meal Mix, thawed (See recipe link above)
1/2
cup water
2
cups original all-purpose baking mix
2/3
cup milk

Steps

  • 1 In 3-quart saucepan, heat thawed Meal Mix and water to boiling over medium-high heat.
  • 2 In medium bowl, stir together baking mix and milk until smooth.
  • 3 Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto top of chicken mixture. Cover; cook 5 to 6 minutes or until dumplings are thoroughly cooked.
