Philly Cheesesteak Wraps

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen bell pepper stir-fry
  • 1/2 lb. thinly sliced deli cooked roast beef, cut into strips
  • 1/4 cup purchased Italian salad dressing
  • 4 (7 or 8-inch) tomato-basil flour tortillas
  • 4 oz. (1 cup) shredded Monterey Jack cheese

    In medium nonstick skillet, cook and stir pepper stir-fry over medium-high heat about 5 minutes or until tender. Add beef and salad dressing; mix well. Cook until thoroughly heated.

    Spoon beef mixture evenly down center of each tortilla. Sprinkle each with cheese. Roll up each tortilla.

  • The cheese steak sandwich is believed to hail from 1930’s Philadelphia. The traditional recipe is a crusty Italian or French roll layered with thinly-sliced beef, melted American cheese and sautéed onions. Our convenient wrap recipe is an updated version of the cheese steak sandwich.
  • Leftover cooked sliced beef can be used in these wraps. Remember to cut the beef into strips so that the wraps are easy to eat.
  • Tortillas can be warmed, if desired. Wrap them in microwave-safe plastic wrap and microwave o n HIGH for 30 seconds.
