Honey Avocado Grilled Chicken Drummies

The sauce on these quick and easy grilled chicken drummies will knock your socks off! Serve alongside fluffy biscuits dripping with butter.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 10 to 12 chicken drumsticks
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Sauce

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • Grated peel of 1 lime (about 1 teaspoon)

    Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large dish, place chicken. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper; toss to evenly coat.

    Place chicken on grill over medium-high heat. Cover grill; cook 4 to 6 minutes on each side or until juice of chicken is clear when thickest part is cut to bone (at least 165°F).

    Meanwhile, in blender, combine Sauce ingredients. Cover; blend until smooth. Set aside.

    When chicken is done, remove from grill to serving dish. Pour Sauce over chicken; toss gently to coat.
