Hearty Beef and Bean Chili

lb ground beef

cups chopped onions (3 medium)

cloves garlic, minced

medium green bell pepper, chopped

tablespoons chili powder

teaspoons cumin

teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)

cups water

cans (15.5 oz each) red kidney beans, undrained

can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic diced tomatoes, undrained

cans (6 oz each) Muir Glen™ organic tomato paste

    In Dutch oven or large saucepan, cook beef, onions, garlic and bell pepper until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.

    Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and cook over low heat 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. If desired, serve topped with shredded Cheddar cheese and crushed corn chips.
