Put avocados on the grill to make them easy to mash for guacamole. Plus, grilled avocados add a smoky flavor to the already-delish dip.

Ingredients

ripe avocados, halved, pitted, peeled
1/2
teaspoon olive oil
Juice of 1 large lime
1
clove garlic, finely chopped
1
tablespoon roughly chopped cilantro
Salt and pepper

Steps

  • 1 Heat gas grill over medium-high heat.
  • 2 Brush avocados with olive oil. Place avocados on grill over medium-high heat. Cover grill; cook 2 to 4 minutes on each side or until grill marks appear and avocados soften.
  • 3 Transfer avocados to bowl. Mash with fork. Add lime juice, garlic and cilantro. Mix to combine.
  • 4 Season with salt and pepper.

Expert Tips

Recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
