cup miniature candy-coated semisweet chocolate baking bits
(1-quart) glass jar with cover
cup Wheat Chex™ Cereal
cup raisins
cup peanuts
cup butterscotch chips


  1. 1 Place 1/3 cup of the baking bits in resealable food storage plastic bag or wrap in sheet of plastic wrap. Place in bottom of jar, hiding zipper section underneath bag.
  2. 2 Layer with 1/2 cup of the cereal, the raisins, peanuts, remaining 1/2 cup cereal squares, remaining 1/3 cup baking bits and the butterscotch chips. Press down gently while layering to make sure all ingredients fit. Cover; decorate as desired. Write the directions onto decorative card; attach to container.

  4. 4 Line cookie sheets with waxed paper. Place 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter in medium saucepan. Spoon in butterscotch chips and top layer of baking bits. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining contents of jar except for baking bits in plastic bag. Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined cookie sheets. Sprinkle remaining baking bits in bag evenly over top of cookies. Refrigerate about 10 minutes or until set.
