Bacon Gouda Apple Pie Croissants

Ingredients

package (8.12 oz) Pillsbury™ frozen apple cinnamon mini pies
1
can (8 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2
oz Gouda cheese, cut into 4 wedges
2
slices cooked bacon, cut into 4 pieces each

    Heat oven to 400°F. Place 4 mini pies on ungreased baking sheet. Set aside icing packets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until crust is light golden brown. Cool 5 minutes.

    Place crescent dough on work surface. Separate in half crosswise, forming 2 squares. Press seams together, and shape into 6-inch squares. Place 1 mini pie upside down on center of each square. Top each with 1 wedge of cheese, 4 pieces bacon, another wedge of cheese and remaining mini pie.

    Bring corners of dough up to center of mini pie. Pinch seams to seal. Place on baking sheet. Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until crescent is deep golden brown. Drizzle 2 packets of icing over each croissant. Enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • If desired, chop additional cooked bacon, and sprinkle on top of mini pies.
  • Try Cheddar cheese in place of Gouda
