A sweet and easy dessert for your sweetie this Valentine’s Day? Red velvet is the perfect deep rich red dessert to share with the ones you love, and Pillsbury makes it oh-so-easy!

All you need is a roll of Pillsbury® sugar cookie dough (set the dough out for 10 minutes so it’s easy to mix), whipping cream, unsweetened cocoa and red food coloring.

Mix together the cocoa and whipping cream with a wooden spoon.

Open up the roll of cookie dough and crumble into your chocolate mixture.

Now it’s time for the red food color. You will need about a tablespoon to get a deep red color. Mix well. (I recommend using a stainless spoon to avoid staining a wooden one!)
Chill the dough for about 15 minutes to firm it up a bit. Using a small cookie scoop (one of my favorite kitchen gadgets EVER), scoop the dough into paper-lined mini muffin pans.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 9 minutes…just until the edges are firm. Remove from oven and immediately top with a chocolate heart! You can use any chocolate you want.
Serve these little gems warm when the chocolate is melty and delish!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
