I’ve been a Minnesota sports fan since birth. Pictures of my toddler self in an oversized football sweatshirt and stirrup leggings are not rare (thanks, Mom). While I can’t claim that I’m an expert on the logistics of the sport, I am pretty darn good at being a fan – and even better at feeding the expert fans in my life.
For my friends and family, game day requires dip. When it’s my turn to provide the highly anticipated game day food, I don’t panic because I know how easily I can make a super-tasty one that will blow the lid off the traditional jar of salsa.
You can’t serve dips without amazing bread dippers or you’ll be shouted at more than the refs. Bring something warm and simple to make, like Pillsbury Breadsticks. The length is perfect for kids to grab and for rowdy fans to munch on, and they take less than 15 minutes to make. My family’s favorite dipper is light, fluffy Pillsbury Crusty French Bread cut into bite-size bits. It absolutely checks the boxes for warm and filling and gets double marks for deliciousness.
