The BIG List of Easy Christmas Appetizers

Updated November 21, 2019
Whether you’re hosting a party, or attending a family gathering, these festive apps make the holidays even better!

From new twists like a pull-apart crescent Christmas tree to tried-and-true classics like baked brie, make this holiday season the easiest (and most delicious) one ever with these quick, crowd-pleasing apps. They are hand-picked with quick prep and fast cooking times in mind, making them perfect for the busy party season!

The history of appetizers can be traced back to French hors d’oeuvres, which translates to “outside of the work.” An appetizer is commonly served before or right at the beginning of the meal. But, with as many delicious appetizers as there are in this collection, we say there’s nothing wrong with making a whole meal completely from appetizers! This way you can sample a little bit of everything, without having to worry about saving room for a main course.

The holiday season contains truly some of the busiest days of the year, so why use up all your precious free time baking? Thanks to our easy holiday appetizers, you can get some party-pleasing food on the table without wasting a lot of your precious time. The not-so-secret to many of our holiday party appetizers use Pillsbury crescent dough, like these insanely tasty Dill Pickle Crescent Pinwheels and many more pinwheel-type apps. Pro tip: When making pinwheel-style appetizers, make sure to firmly seal your rolled dough before cutting into slices. This prevents the rolls from coming apart and keep the ingredients contained. Once the slices are golden brown, remove them from the cookie sheet immediately to a serving platter. Leaving them on the cookie sheet will increase the risk of burning since the slices will continue to cook on the hot sheet.

If you’re looking for your next holiday favorite, we’ve got even more Christmas appetizer recipes for you to try this year.
