Slow-Cooker Cheeseburger Soup

Need a new go-to recipe for ground beef? This hearty, burger-inspired soup is sure to be a family favorite. It comes together quickly with a handful of simple ingredients. The surprise ingredient? Steak sauce, which gives it an authentic burger taste I haven’t found in other cheeseburger soups.

Here's how I make it my own:

  • I always order my cheeseburgers with extra toppings, and I serve this soup the same way. In addition to waffle fries and lettuce, I like it topped with bacon, pickle slices and yellow mustard.
  • I can’t have soup without bread, so to stick with the burger theme I made some mini slider buns to serve alongside. Pillsbury Crusty French Loaf makes it super easy—here’s how I did it.
  • Do you have a small slow cooker like I do? This recipe is designed for a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker, but the recipe works just as well when you cut it in half to make a smaller batch.
