Grilled Double-Double Sliders How-To

Grilled Double-Double Sliders
Two times the patties means two times the flavor in these juicy mini burgers.

STEP ONE: PREP DOUGH

Cut the dough crosswise into 8 pieces. Place the rolls, cut side down, on a cookie sheet; bake for 16 to 18 minutes until they’re golden brown. Let them cool for 10 minutes.

STEP TWO: MAKE PATTIES

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper. Shape the mixture into 16 balls and flatten each ball into a disc about 2 ¾-inches wide.

STEP THREE: GRILL

Heat the grill pan or grill over medium heat. Place the beef patties on the grill and cook them for 2 to 3 minutes; flip. Cook the patties for 2 minutes longer or until they’ve reached the desired temperature. Immediately top each patty with ¼ slice of the cheese and remove them from the grill.

STEP FOUR: ASSEMBLE BURGERS

Cut each roll in half horizontally and place two patties on the bottom half of each cut roll. Top these with the roll tops. Brush each of the roll tops with melted butter; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve the sliders with condiments like pickles, ketchup and mustard.
