Flatbreads are like a blank canvas where you can create. With Pillsbury® Refrigerated Pie Crust, you can make these fall-inspired flatbreads in no time for your next get together.
A simple flatbread I like to make is Honey, Rosemary and Sea Salt Flatbread.
Brush the crust with honey and sprinkle with fresh herbs and sea salt. I sometimes add just a pinch of chili flakes. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Drizzle with honey and then they are ready to serve! They go great with a fruit and cheese platter.
Or try adding fruit to your flatbread. This Pear Almond Flatbread is paired with goat cheese and thyme and then drizzled with honey.
One of my fall favorites is Roasted Grapes and Brie Flatbead. Grapes are combined with balsamic vinegar, walnuts and melted brie to create a warm fall appetizer that tastes terrific with wine.
One fun trick is to roll fresh herbs into the dough for added flavor. Sprinkle them across and use your rolling pin to press them into the dough.
Here is how to create flatbread using the Pillsbury® Refrigerated Pie Crust. Roll out one pie crust on a cutting board. Brush with melted butter; sprinkle herbs and salt over the top.
The other basic is to brush a pie crust with butter and sprinkle it with cinnamon-sugar. This is the base I use for Blueberry Cream Flatbread. You can also cut out cute little shapes and serve them plain.
Finally, I saved the best for last. Make mini Chocolate Hazelnut Flatbread Bites. They are so easy! Combine chocolate hazelnut spread with mascarpone cheese. Place 1 tablespoon on the circle and sprinkle with toasted hazelnuts.
