The Good Table’s Southwest Tortilla Chicken

Nothing says “obligation food" quite like plain cooked chicken breasts, am I right? Affordable, kid-friendly lean protein? Absolutely. Exciting? Yeah, not so much.

Luckily, it doesn’t take much to turn obligation chicken into something a little more interesting, just a flavorful sauce (that you don’t even have to make!) and a perfectly crunchy coating. Enter this three-step un-recipe for The Good Table’s Southwest Tortilla Chicken.

Step 1: COAT

Chicken, breadcrumbs, southwest sauce

Preheat oven to 400° F. Add sauce to a shallow dish and thoroughly coat your protein.

Step 2: TOSS

Breaded chicken in southwest sauce and breadcrumbs

Empty crust mix into another medium shallow dish and toss each chicken breast with the mix. Sprinkle chicken with any remaining mix.

Step 3: BAKE
Bake chicken on cookie sheet at 400° F for 25-27 minutes or until centers are no longer pink (165° F). Add a flavorful side or salad for a quick, complete and completely non-boring meal. We paired it with this easy 30-minute Tex-Mex Macaroni and Cheese.
