Make these deep-fried delights for state fair-style fun, minus the lines.

If you ask me, one of the best and most memorable times in life is going to the state fair. Where else can you go to fill up on the most outrageous fried goodies and then proceed to go on the biggest, fastest and scariest rides ever?! If the thought of it doesn’t make you recoil in fear (or stomach pain), then read on.

Your family will go crazy for the chocolaty, nutty goodness of a candy bar wrapped in deep fried biscuits. It’s a special treat, sure, but you know what they say: once it’s on a stick, there’s no turning back.

These are an indulgence like no other … all in the comfort of your own home.

Cupcake liners popsicle sticks candy bars

Separate refrigerated biscuit dough into 8 biscuits.  Roll out each one with a rolling pin or press with hands until large enough to wrap around candy bar. Place candy bar in center of each biscuit. Wrap dough around each to completely cover candy bar; pinch to seal well.

In 10- to 12-inch skillet, heat oil to 350°F. Fry each wrapped candy bar until golden brown on all sides. Remove from oil to cooling rack; cool. Insert one craft stick halfway into each. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
