What do you get when you combine all the classic flavors of Boston Cream Pie, roll it up into a pretty spiral, then top it with a cascading layer of melted chocolate ganache? A super-fun, tasty and simple dessert that will impress everyone who sees it, that’s what!

Roll out the dough into an even rectangle, and then bake according to package directions. Let cool, then brush it with melted butter.

Prepare the cream filling according to the box directions.
Evenly spread the “cream” onto the cooled dough.
Gently roll it up, making sure to go slowly to avoid cracking. Set it aside to set up.
Now, make the ganache.

Combine the sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and boiling water in a microwave safe bowl, mixing well to combine. Microwave on high for three to four minutes, stirring occasionally. The mixture will thicken and rise in the microwave, becoming almost pudding-like.

Top with the ganache, then slice into 2-inch slices. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
