Sticky Bun Doughnuts
Make a killer breakfast treat mashup of doughnuts and sticky buns at home with six simple ingredients.

Breakfast is truly one of my favorite times to eat; I think it might be because you can choose from sweet or savory. I probably sway more towards sweet, because who doesn’t like doughnuts? I love ‘em and this sticky bun version is off-the-charts good! The center has a pat of butter, some brown sugar and cinnamon. So when you bite into it, the butter has dissolved into the brown sugar and keeps them so moist and delicious.

Once the doughnuts come out of the fryer, top with the brown sugar and pecan glaze. A drizzle of cream cheese frosting seals the deal—making these sticky bun donuts a crave-worthy breakfast treat!

Sticky Bun Doughnuts

Slice each biscuit in half to make two pieces, just like slicing a bun. Lay both sides out next to one another assembly-line fashion. Then place a 1/2 tablespoon pat of butter on top of half of your biscuit circles. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar on top of the butter followed by 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Place the other half of each biscuit on top and pinch the edges to seal. Fry in the preheated oil for 40-50 seconds per side. Make the brown sugar glaze and spoon over each donut. Warm the cream cheese frosting in the microwave and drizzle over the donuts with a spoon.
