I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely guilty of breakfast-skipping most days of the week. By the time I’ve packed up everything I need for the day, it’s time to get out the door, pronto—and I arrive to work a little bit hangry.
That’s why I love granola. I like to stash a few yogurts in the office fridge at the start of the week, and pack a few snack-size containers of granola for a portion-controlled crunchy topper. That way I always have a filling breakfast I actually want to eat waiting for me. Let’s call it a hanger management tool.
My latest granola pick is Nature Valley Peanut Butter Protein Granola. It tastes so good mixed with any flavor of my morning Greek yogurt—I mean, can you ever go wrong with peanut butter?—and lately it’s been doing double duty as my 3 p.m. snack, too. In fact, it meets all the requirements on my snacking checklist: sweet, salty and crunchy. (The snacking trifecta!) And the 10 grams of hanger-fighting protein is definitely a plus in my book.
